Friday we watched a Shark Tale with the kids at the ministry we are with.

It was about a fish named Oscar who thinks he is a nobody because he is a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash.  He ends up creating this elaborate story of how he killed a shark, and becomes known as the shark Slayer.  He becomes wealthy, known, and “on top” but he ends up losing a relationship with a girl he always liked.  Eventually she tells him she liked him more when he was a “nobody” because he wasn’t a nobody to her.

That morning we took time during our devotion in the morning to ask God who we are in him.  He is our Father and because he is our Father, we are his precious children, heirs to the throne, and have authority because he has authority.  We are a SOMEBODY.  I am Kelly, daughter of the most high king and I belong to HIM.

Take some time to sit with God and see what he tells you about who you are in him.

Read over these lyrics and listen to the video… don’t let the devil hook you into believing lies.....the truth is...YOU BELONG TO HIM.

You called me out of darkness
You silence every lie
No other voice will define me
I belong to you, I belong to You

The enemy can't
Take what I have
Change who I am
I belong to You

By your blood I've been adopted
I've taken on Your name
And I need to be reminded
That I belong to you, I belong to You

Greater are You who's in me
Than he who's in the world
The words You have spoken
Are stronger than the curse

I belong to You, I belong to You
No one can take from me my destiny
I belong to You
