My name is Kelly.
I’m from Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I love being outdoors (hiking, hunting, camping, gardening, and seeing God’s beauty through nature).
I enjoy being active–playing sports, running, going to the gym and more!
I love my family and playing games with my family (we can get very competitive!).
I am a thrill seeker. I’ve been skydiving, bungee jumping, and enjoy roller coasters.
I love animals, especially my dog.
I have a passion to serve people. I worked at a day program for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities at a place called Hope Springs Farm in Hershey, PA for 6 years. That is, until I quit to go on the World Race. Our clients who we call Growers made me thankful every day for the gifts and abilities I had and could give away…and for their unconditional love. They taught me a lot about patience, grace, and how to forgive quickly.
Most of all, I am thankful for loving and supporting friends, family, and acquaintances that will be following me. The World Race was one of the most valuable years of my life. I learned to be bold for the gospel. I learned to live with little and saw it as plenty. My roots grew ten times deeper. I experienced God all over the world. I learned about God as my GOOD father Who gives GOOD gifts. Here are some other takeaways from the year.
And now I’m back for more. I’m not working with adventure in missions, but instead felt called back to Africa for 2020. And what another whirlwind of adventures it has been!! Being locked down in Rwanda during COVID and the world being flipped upside down. But you will still find in my blogs God’s faithfulness and goodness! Thanks for taking this journey with me!
Blessings,
Kelly
