My third trip to Pokot involved a lot of traveling!  With over 20 girls sponsored by Wildfire Ministries, and the task to collect information on them, I had a busy time. Irene was my translator and we met just about all the girls!  Some days that meant girls coming to one location, but most of the time it was us traveling to them at their homes.

Motorcycle rides of 30 minutes or more became the norm.  I highly enjoy the rides and the freedom of just being out in nature riding along. Some rides were adventurous. Some painful (we had two accidents this time-  thankfully nothing too bad besides some exhaust pipe burns). but mostly just the wind in your hair type of ride.

The days were long, but filled with relationship building. I slept at a number of the girls’ houses and got to know the families better (some I had met last year and they were eager to have me back!). Others were new faces. Sometimes we just spoke briefly, other times we stayed and had fruitful and deep conversations with the families. One time, we even got stuck in 3 hours of rain at a house— but God still used the time.

Enjoy the short video of the girls, and let’s keep praying for the people of Pokot! Let’s pray they find the ONE who can supply all their needs!
