Wow. Where do I even begin. Kristen has always been a leader. She was my Team Leader for Team Valor. She fought for things we wanted: intimacy with God, knowledge of the Bible, and growth and boldness in our faith- all which set my foundation for the race and helped me grow. She questioned her leadership at times, but honestly, I couldn’t think of a better person. She loved us well and loved on others so well. Literally… put a child, old person, animal, anything… and she will love on them with love that only comes from the Father. We talked about the hard things in our past, shared in some grief, and shared in freedom. When team changes happened in Nepal, I was so excited that I would get to squad lead with this wonderful woman. Although I wasn’t around Kristen every day during the second half of the race (because squad leaders are split up among teams) I knew that she was always there for me and will always have my back.
I couldn’t imagine this race without you Kris!
