Yes, you read that right!  I was supposed to head home on Saturday, November 14th.  Then I got an email saying my flight was changed to the 15th.  BUT, then I decided I was going to stay until December 20th!

So, I’m back in Rwanda after spending 45 days in Kenya.  Please, if you haven’t read my blogs from Kenya—go read them now (Click Below)!

Welcome to Kenya

Goodbye Kenya

It’s hard to believe I’ve already been back here for two weeks!  And soooo much has been happening.  The men’s program is up and running with 9 men.  The women’s program is still seeking approval to start.  In the meantime, we have 8 ladies back making fall/winter masks for Canada.

I’m again helping oversee some of the responsibilities with the masks.  It can be daunting at times, especially when we’ve been trying to figure out a mask for a museum in Canada.  Still waiting to see if it actually pans out.  I’m also going to lead a team building day for the guys once they are done with some work from the therapists.

I’ve been adjusting back… I miss my friends and all the relationships I made in Kenya.  At the same time, I know there is more for me to do now.  It helps when I stay busy.

Why December 20th you may ask?  I have some friends who are getting married on the 19th and it will be a privilege to see them wed.  Also, I think God’s hand is in this as well…especially with the timing of the men’s program and masks (and hopefully the women’s program!).

I know…COVID is gaining strength again but I’m confident God has a beautiful plan for this time.  Please join me in praying for all of our programming.

I will try to post another update soon….but I just wanted to let everyone know of my change of plans in coming home.  I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences at the churches in my hometown–or any other opportunities!
