So with the Race being over in less than 50 days, what better way to prepare than to look at and answer interview questions… you know, since life is about to get real.

I don’t know how to put this, but I’m kind of a big deal

 

What do you consider your weaknesses? 

I have flaws. What are they? I sing in the shower. Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I’ll hit somebody with my car. 

 

Tell us about a conflict at work you faced and how you dealt with it? 

Once there was a tornado warning at work and I hid under my desk 

 

What is your dream job? 

To be a mermaid and if that doesn’t pan out to be a Walmart greeter 

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 

Being 30 years old doing something awesome 

 

What do you like to do outside of work? 

Eat…sleep…repeat

Once upon a time…I did this thing called the World Race

I’m observant. I watch people like a hawk.

I told people they stressed me out so they would know that they stressed me out. 

 

What is your dream job? 

A traveling journalist? Or something like that.

Hopefully living the dream of being a soccer mom with my mini van….. just kidding. That’s too soon.

Taking walks along the beach and long luxurious bubble baths. Or do I?

I’m well traveled and cultured.  I’m patient and have worked with people from all types of backgrounds and abilities. I love to learn and pick up quickly on assignments given to me. 

 

What are your greatest professional strengths? 

Administration, empathy, respect, flexibility, and trustworthiness.

 

What do you consider your weaknesses? 

I can be indecisive in making decisions. I look at all aspects of a situation before making a final decision and like to find the right words to respond to others. However, in crisis situations I’m a first responder, quick on my feet and ready to give commands. 

 

Tell us about a conflict at work you faced and how you dealt with it? 

I’ve had conflicts with differing opinions.  I’ve learned you have to face the conflict head on (not talk to others about it), listen to all sides of the story, and then talk it out. 

 

What is your dream job? 

Sea World instructor 

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  

Working with people from all different walks of life and raising a family

 

What do you like to do outside of work?

Hike, read, play volleyball, sing praise and worship songs, and hunt

 

Why was there a gap in your employment? 

I spent 11 months around the world on four different continents seeing people beyond their outward appearance. Instead I saw them for who they really are…children of God who are loved beyond measure.   

 

What are your salary requirements? 

Enough to pay the bills and have food on the table at every meal. 

 

What can you do for us that other candidates can’t? 

I work for God, not for men so everything that I do has intentionality and integrity behind it. Therefore, I come into every day as a new day with a positive attitude, a hungry soul ready to learn, and a heart that is ready to give everything.

I’m like your favorite dog : loyal, dependable , loving, committed, and it doesn’t matter how rough your day is going , I’ll make you smile. 

 

What are your greatest professional strengths? 

Hard worker, energetic, lively , team player , good conversation starter.  

 

What do you consider your weaknesses

Yeah, I’m not the most punctual person. 

 

Tell us about a conflict at work you faced and how you dealt with it? 

No specific example , but working alongside others that you obviously have differences with and , choosing to put aside those differences to achieve a common goal together. 

 

What is your dream job? 

Start my own podcast/ motivational speaker. 

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Nestled in my cute cottage , with 4 or 5 little ones running around, working in a job I’m actually super passionate about , laughing at my husband’s corny jokes, rocking a mom hair cut, impacting my community and women and mothers around the  world. 

 

What do you like to do outside of work? 

Take a hike , gaze at the sunrises/sunsets, attempt to cook using the recipes I pinned on my Pinterest months ago, try new food and new brews and travel to places I’ve never been to before. 

 

Why was there a gap in your employment? 

So I’m currently unemployed because I took a risk and quit my former job to come on the worldrace. Was it worth it ? Absolutely. 

 

What are your salary requirements?

Just enough to put some bread on the table. 

 

What can you do for us that other candidates can’t?  

We could be stuck in an elevator for hours and I’ll make it the time of your life.

i mean i’ve never lost at limbo so you tell me

 

What do you consider your weaknesses? 

my greatest attempt at organization resembled the aftermath of a tornado and i can talk myself out of making any decision which i’ve learned…is a decision. 

 

Tell us about a conflict at work you faced and how you dealt with it?

 i tried to maturely approach a hard conversation and before i could get to the tough part, she cussed at me and stormed out. 

 

What is your dream job? 

olympic gymnast, maybe one day i’ll start pursuing. i’m only 24.

what does that even mean, do people actually think that far ahead?

 

What do you like to do outside of work? 

go to grocery stores and wander down every aisle a couple times.

i was addicted to drugs the first time, then addicted to Jesus the second.

honestly, i have no standards

show up on time.
